Branch Events

The branches of IPEd host workshops, seminars, member meetings and other events that are open to all IPEd members. Information and booking details for these are listed on the Events page of this website.

The work of IPEd is carried out by directors and members of IPEd's committees.

Accreditation Board (AB)

The Accreditation Board is responsible for administering IPEd's accreditation scheme, including the accreditation exam. Contact the Accreditation Board chair here.

Finance and Risk Management Committee (FRM)

The Finance and Risk Management Committee consists of the Chair, Finance Director, Company Secretary and Finance Officer.

Academic Editing Standing Committee (SCAE)

The SCAE is made up of IPEd member volunteers from across Australia and New Zealand. They have recently revised the Guidelines for editing research theses and advocate on behalf of academic editors. The committee chair can be contacted at scae.chair@iped-editors.org.

Professional Development Standing Committee (SCPD)

The SCPD aims to develop and oversee a national PD framework with short-term and long-term programs, and maintain a PD register of all branch PD events. The SCPD is made up of volunteer IPEd members from across Australia and New Zealand. The committee chair can be contacted at chair.scpd@iped-editors.org.

Awards and Prizes Standing Committee (SCAP)

The SCAP oversees IPEd's awards and prizes program and is made up of volunteer IPEd members.

IPEd has established the Editors Directory. Clients can search the directory for freelance editors using specific criteria. These will identify editors that have specific interests, skills or experience in certain areas.
