Residential Editorial Program 2020

The Australian Publishers Association (APA) has postponed its 10th Residential Editorial Program (REP 2020) to be held in Sydney to Monday 30 November – Saturday 5 December 2020 due to COVID-19.

The elite mentorship program is a professional development initiative for mid-career, managing and commissioning editors and is designed to complement the Beatrice David Editorial Fellowship

Administered by APA and supported by the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund and the publishing industry, the REP recognises editors’ needs for mentorships, professional collaboration and advanced training.

IPEd CEO Karen Lee has advised APA that IPEd, as the industry body for editors, is keen to be part of the program when it goes ahead.

Details on how the REP aims to enhance the standard of writing published in Australia can be found in its program guidelines.

The revised deadline for applications is Friday 30 July 2020. Applications already received have been filed and will be considered along with the new. To apply, download the application guidelines and form or contact the Program Manager on rsheahan5@bigpond.com  if you have further queries about the program or application process.
