IPEd Council has negotiated discounted rates for professional indemnity insurance for editors with Aon Risk Services. Council believes there are strong arguments both for and against editors needing professional indemnity insurance and editors should consider their own circumstances when considering taking out professional indemnity insurance.

Aon insurance cover

The editing industry has evolved over the last few years. It is now becoming common for clients, including government departments, government agencies, quangos and NGOs, to require editors to hold professional indemnity insurance.
Through an agreement reached between IPEd and Aon Risk Solutions, all members of IPEd can take out professional indemnity and public liability insurance at a discounted rate. The insurance scheme has been tailored to suit members’ requirements, and Aon offer numerous options for limits. In this way, members can tailor their insurance coverage to suit their needs.
To take out the policy, simply download and complete the proposal form and submit it by clicking the “Send” button (on the last page of the form). Alternatively, email the completed form to au.misc.centraladmin@aon.com

Questions can be addressed to Aon or IPEd.
