A small group of editors in the Darling Downs region get together for a social chat every month or two. Usually we enjoy a “cuppa catch-up” at one of the many interesting local cafes, but dinner out is also occasionally on the menu. We’re a diverse bunch, working in both fiction and non-fiction; from indie publishing to thesis editing. Even though we are involved in very different styles or sections of editing, writing or publishing services, the conversation flows easily, and it’s fascinating to learn about other areas of the profession.
If you live or work around the Downs (or even visit occasionally) and would like to join us, please contact our regional coordinator, Tonia Grundy (0428 585 813 or tonia.grundy@gmail.com) to be notified about future catch-up dates or suggest suitable venues.
In March, we’re skipping the usual mid-week cuppa to enjoy a Saturday book launch at the Brewhouse on Margaret St in Toowoomba by one of our members. Three times buried is a tale of torn loyalties, secrets, superstition and MURDER. If you’d like to attend, please register with Jane Smith directly.
