From the Standing Committee on Awards and Prizes
The Janet Mackenzie Medal (the Mackenzie) is IPEd’s highest award. It is awarded to an editor who has demonstrated outstanding excellence in professional practice over many years (depth and breadth of experience) and significantly advanced the editing profession and/or given exemplary service to IPEd over many years.
After careful consideration, the Standing Committee on Awards and Prizes (SCAP) has accepted the advice of the judging panel to not award the medal in 2024.
SCAP encourages nominations for the 2025 Mackenzie from editors who have made significant contributions to the editing profession and who meet the above criteria.
Nominations for the 2025 Mackenzie will open in September/October 2024.
