2020 accreditation exam update
The IPEd accreditation exam held on 5 December 2020 went smoothly, overall. A total of 99 candidates sat the exam, 94 in one of seven venues (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Wellington) plus five remote candidates.
For possibly the first time, there weren’t any no-shows, illnesses or early departures during the exam; all registered candidates turned up and stayed until the exam ended.
We are still analysing the results of the post-exam candidate survey, but it seems most candidates appreciated the support of their invigilators, the facilities provided by Cliftons and having access to the Macquarie Dictionary Online. IPEd thanks the Cliftons team, Macquarie and Pan Macmillan, who provided the access, and of course the many volunteers who not only gave up their Saturday on exam day but dedicated hours in preparation to help run the exam.
At the time of writing, marking of the exam papers is on schedule, with initial marking complete and the moderation process underway. IPEd also thanks the assessors for giving their time during the holiday season. We intend notifying candidates of their results in February, and hope to make an IPEd-wide announcement in the next issue of Gatherings.
