Macros help editors earn more money in the same time frame. They speed up making routine copyedits and increase your accuracy.
For those who want to learn to use macros but are too intimidated, the next Macro A to Z course through the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA) begins on 18 April. This dual-level six-week course is designed both for editors who have never used macros and those who do, and want to get more out of them. No programming is required – you just need to be able to copy and paste. It’s applicable to both PC and Mac users.
