Listen to world renowned editor, authenticity reader and ACES Board Director Crystal Shelley discuss microaggressions in editing, using conscious language and best practices for working with clients. If you missed her live Q&A on 12 October, there is still the chance to hear her three recorded sessions until 31 December 2022

In “Microaggressions in editing”, Crystal delves into our identities and biases, how this relates to microaggressions, what this has to do with working with clients, and best practices for learning.
In “Conscious language”, Crystal looks at our role as editors and how it relates to conscious language, what is and isn’t conscious language, and how we apply this to working with our clients.
In “Authenticity reading”, Crystal talks about the power of representation, the ins and outs of authenticity reading and what editors should know about it, and how to become an authenticity reader.
The cost of each session is A$15 for members, A$20 for non-members and A$10 for students and concession members.
