11th IPEd conference
Our conference planning is in full swing! We’ve been inspired by several submissions we’ve received from our call for papers, and hope to launch our website later this month. Stay tuned for information about super earlybird discounts, coming soon.
Please note, towards the start of 2022, we were hoping to host the 11th annual IPEd conference in beautiful New Zealand. After two years of pandemic-based travel restrictions, we were looking forward to connecting in person – and what better place than with our youngest IPEd branch, Aotearoa New Zealand?
However, after the results of the last members survey, the majority of you indicated the preference for a virtual conference for health and safety reasons and for greater convenience (which we do understand). As editors, we must be adaptable, resilient quick studies and able to pivot in the face of evolving technologies, workforce demands, changing expectations and physical circumstances. Therefore, we believe the upcoming conference appropriately suits our theme: “Futureproofing the editing profession”.
We do hope the 2025 conference will be a face-to-face one.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress of the 2023 conference via email or our social media channels.
