Recording of online member events

You will notice in advertisements that some branch speaker events are being recorded and made available after the event. Naturally, this has raised questions about the privacy of members attending these events, so we thought it was worth explaining the nature of the recordings. Such recordings are edited, so only the speaker’s presentation is included. The screen will only show the speaker’s screen, and not any attendees’ screens or chat comments. If you attend, it is requested that you hold all questions and discussion to the end of the address, so they can be easily edited out. However, some events may still record the Q&A session at the end and you will be notified if this is the case for individual events.

The aim of recording speaker events is to make these valuable resources available to more people, such as those who booked but were unable to attend. In some cases, we may also be providing them for sale to those who did not book. These arrangements may vary, and we therefore recommend you check the terms specified on the meeting invitation to avoid disappointment.

Any cancellations after this point will not receive refunds, as venues and catering are ordered in advance and paid for based on your booking. To cancel, please email the IPEd Administration.
